About Scott B. Rosen

Scott B. Rosen is a Queens-based photographer and artist. He started painting and drawing as a young child, but since 2000, he's put the paint brush down to embrace the camera, getting his feet wet by shooting weddings and events. He quickly found a passion for travel photography, and has since managed to carry his body and lens through six continents. The result has included two successful photo/art exhibits (see scottbrosen.com), editorial photography opportunities (for publications such as The New York Times, nationalgeographic.com, New York Post, NYMag.com., The London Times-Travel, The New York Sun, Culture & Travel, New York Living, Draft and Travel Savvy) and an ever-growing wealth of images that he's still working his way through.

While working on architectural and advertising assignments in 2005, Scott began selling and showcasing his photos as stock; the same year, he began working as a full-time freelance photo researcher (now photo editor) for Bill Smith Group, a NYC design packager for children's books and textbooks. Since then, his stock images have been sold to several major publishers, including The World Almanac for Kids, McGraw Hill, Houghton Mifflin, Harcourt Achieve, Glencoe, Holt, Rhinehart Winston, The Wright Group, Cengage Learning and Barnes & Noble additionally, he's developed an in-house photo studio for Bill Smith, which he uses regularly to photograph still lifes and models for various clients. Scott currently divides his time between editing and photographing in the studio, extensive traveling and updating his stock sites. He is available for hire, both for studio and field work.
